Welcome! I’m so glad you found your way here. To me, the therapeutic relationship is an alliance in which the client is an equal participant in their mental health journey. My goal is to provide the client with a safe, compassionate, genuine space to explore the fullness of their humanity.
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, self-esteem, life transitions, and relationship challenges. In sessions, I bring humor, warmth, authenticity, and unconditional, positive regard for your lived experience. My goal is to help you feel more grounded in yourself, more connected in your relationships, and more empowered in your choices.
Throughout my graduate program, I was grateful to acquire a solid foundation in counseling theories, ethical practices, client-focused modalities, and therapeutic interventions. My coursework in Crisis Intervention, Group Therapy, Marriage and Family Counseling, and Multicultural Counseling has provided me with the theoretical knowledge needed to work with diverse populations.
I have gained hands-on clinical experiences during my practicum at Cypress Creek Hospital and Mindful Transformations. I’ve worked with clients facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including, but not limited to: anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, schizophrenia, and PTSD. While facilitating therapy sessions, I have gained experience in creating treatment plans and delivering evidence-based interventions under the supervision of licensed professionals.
My therapeutic style centers around the client and their individual goals and needs; I am eclectic! My preferred modalities are Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Experiential Therapy, however, I will tailor the sessions to find the best fit for the client. My passion is helping people realize the most authentic and healthy version of themselves.
When I’m not working, you can find me curled up with a good book or cup of tea, sewing, crafting, walking my dog, giggling with friends, or enjoying the outdoors. I look forward to walking alongside you as we embark on this new journey together.
