Macie
LPC-Associate
Family, marriage, couples, immigration, divorce, blended families, and polyamorous
Hello! My name is Macie, and I am a therapist intern completing my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sam Houston State University. My goal is to provide a compassionate, collaborative space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered to create meaningful change.
I welcome individuals, couples, and families from all backgrounds, cultures, identities, sexual orientations, and neurotypes. My counseling approach integrates Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), emphasizing your strengths while helping you develop practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and create healthier thought patterns. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I strive to meet you where you are with warmth, authenticity, and respect.
While versed in all ages and a variety of presenting concerns; my professional interests and areas of specialized training include family, marriage, and couples counseling through my graduate certificate program, with additional experience supporting diverse family systems, including those navigating immigration, divorce, blended families, and polyamorous relationships. For clients who desire it, I also offer Christian counseling and enjoy supporting both women, men and children as they navigate challenges related to faith, identity, relationships, and societal expectations.
Above all, I believe therapy is a collaborative journey. My priority is to help you feel seen, discover your strengths, and become the most authentic version of yourself. You don't have to navigate life's challenges alone, taking the first step toward healing is often the hardest, and you've already begun. If you're looking for a patient, open-minded, genuine, and honest therapist, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
