I am passionate about supporting the emotional and mental well-being of children, adolescents and adults as they navigate their journey of wellness. I believe in a client-centered and strengths-based approach, where each person’s unique qualities and strengths are recognized and celebrated. Utilizing a combination of cognitive-behavioral techniques and solution-focused therapy, I help children, adolescents and adults explore their emotions, increase self-awarenessand build essential coping skills. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2003 and worked as an educator for ten years. I returned to school and graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2014 with my Master’s degree in Counseling. I have worked as a School Counselor with both children and teenagers for the last nine years. I have served on district crisis teams and have extensive experience in crisis management, grief, bereavement and trauma. I also have experience with individual, family and group therapy to address issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression and stress.Working with adolescents and young adults on postsecondary and career planning is another passion of mine. I am so excited to work together to help you achieve your goals!
